Tip Jar
You can accept tips from your page visitors by including a customizable tip jar on your page.
To start accepting tips follow the instructions below:
Step 1
Turn on the Tip Jar toggle in under the Integrations section of the Page Editor and click the Connect button to create your free Stripe account.
Step 2
Complete the Stripe onboarding process to create your payment processing account.
Onboarding will collect information such as your name, phone number, address, etc. in order to verify your identity and allow you to accept payments. This is also where you connect the bank account where any tips will be deposited.
Once you complete the onboarding and are redirected to the Page Editor, you may need to add additional information before accessing your Stripe Dashboard.
Step 3
Once onboarding is complete it will redirect you back to the Page Editor where you can customize the details of your tip jar.
Customizations
Amounts: You can add up to 3 custom tip amounts to your tip jar with a maximum amount of $999.
Custom Amount: You can offer a custom amount option where visitors can enter their own amount between $1-$999.
Position: Choose whether you would like to display the tip jar at the top or bottom of your page.
Stripe Dashboard
The Stripe dashboard is where you can view your tip earnings and payouts, customize the checkout page branding, and manage any personal information.
Customizing Your Checkout Page
To customize your checkout page colors and logo visit the Branding page.
Tip Jar Fees
All tips are processed securely via Stripe and are subject to a standard payment processing fee of 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction in addition to a platform fee based on your plan level.
Personal Plan: 4% + Stripe Fees
Entrepreneur Plan: 3% + Stripe Fees
Professional Plan: 2% + Stripe Fees
The Tip Jar feature is available on the Personal Plan and above.
